Saudade
Playing Demon
Saudade, released in 2024, is a ghostly Rite of Passage tale, produced by Gica Pucca, Constantin Augustinus Sieve, Josie Hull and Diana Cody.
When my dear friend Gica Pucca came to me one day asking to create a short story with her, it was the beginning of this abstact, ghostly, and heartfelt story of Saudade.
Saudade, portuguese for "longing" or "wistful yearning", is a story about a dancer who has to overcome her demon of her past. Wishing back a relationship that ultimately deeply scarred her puts her in conflict with herself and her way to resolve it is to dance through the pain.
In Saudade we wanted to explore heartbreak in an experimental way.
