EYES

Shot in 2023 as a Student Film at USC, this gritty Horror short by Braulio Hernandez went on to become a film festival hit. It has played at multiple film festivals across the country, withunder the HorroShort Festival in Chicago and the Screamfest in Los Angeles.

The patient is just a very small but nevertheless important part of the story. With his eyeless apperance, he represents the consequence of conformity, rather wanting to be a dependent part of something bigger than having to find his selfworth.

This little role, carries quite a significance for me. To me it rings as a cautionary tale.  It reminds me how often we just wish to belong, to not feel alone. Yet the more we give into it, the more we lose ourselves and get stuck in mindless living.
